John

The Gospel according to John is the fourth gospel in the New Testament, following on from Matthew, Mark and Luke. It is traditionally attributed to the apostle John. In this gospel John describes Jesus as the Word of God who was with God in the beginning. Jesus does seven miraculous “signs” and shows that he is truly the Prophet who was to come into the world (6:14). He is also the bread of life, the light of the world, the good shepherd, the door for the sheep, the way, the truth, the resurrection and the life.
